Welcome to Tradex Roofing. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website and services. By accessing this website and using our services, we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use Tradex Roofing's website or services if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
Terminology
The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and any or all Agreements: "Client", "You" and "Your" refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company's terms and conditions. "The Company", "Ourselves", "We", "Our" and "Us", refers to Tradex Roofing. "Party", "Parties", or "Us", refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves.
Use of Content
All content included on this website, such as text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Tradex Roofing or its content suppliers and protected by UK and international copyright laws. The compilation of all content on this site is the exclusive property of Tradex Roofing and protected by UK and international copyright laws.
You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the website without express written permission by us.
Services and Quotations
The descriptions of services offered on our website are for informational purposes only. Tradex Roofing reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any service at any time without notice.
All quotations provided by Tradex Roofing are:
- Valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
- Subject to a site inspection to confirm scope of work
- Based on information provided by the client and visible conditions at the time of inspection
- Exclusive of any additional work found necessary during the execution of the agreed works
Service Contracts
When you accept a quotation from Tradex Roofing, a contract is formed. The contract includes:
- The accepted quotation
- These terms and conditions
- Any special conditions agreed in writing
Tradex Roofing will make every reasonable effort to complete the work within the estimated timeframe, but we cannot be held responsible for delays due to weather conditions, supply chain issues, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Payment Terms
Our standard payment terms are as follows:
- For jobs valued under £1,000: Full payment upon completion
- For jobs valued £1,000-£5,000: 30% deposit before commencement, remaining balance upon completion
- For jobs valued over £5,000: 30% deposit before commencement, 30% at midpoint, remaining balance upon completion
Payment is due within 7 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and cheques.
Late payments may be subject to interest charges at 8% above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel a scheduled service by providing notice at least 48 hours before the scheduled start date. For cancellations with less than 48 hours notice:
- If materials have been ordered specifically for your job, you may be charged for these materials and any restocking fees
- If work has already commenced, you will be charged for work completed and materials used
For consumers (not businesses), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting our quotation, provided work has not commenced. This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Warranties and Guarantees
Tradex Roofing provides the following guarantees on our workmanship:
- 5-year workmanship guarantee on all roof installations
- 2-year workmanship guarantee on roof repairs
- 1-year workmanship guarantee on minor repairs
Materials are covered by manufacturers' warranties, details of which will be provided upon completion of work. These guarantees are in addition to your statutory rights.
Our guarantees are subject to:
- Regular maintenance as recommended by us
- No unauthorized modifications or repairs to our work
- Prompt notification of any issues
- Payment of all amounts due under the contract
Liability and Insurance
Tradex Roofing maintains comprehensive public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance. While we take all reasonable care, we cannot accept liability for:
- Pre-existing structural defects or weaknesses
- Damage caused by extreme weather events
- Consequential losses not foreseeable at the time of contract
- Issues arising from customer failure to follow our maintenance advice
Our total liability shall not exceed the total value of the contract or the limit of our insurance coverage, whichever is higher.
Intellectual Property
Any intellectual property created during the course of our services, including designs, specifications, and reports, remains the property of Tradex Roofing unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and process personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to These Terms
Tradex Roofing reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our website and services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified terms.
